Gold hits new record high in spot trading today, reaching $2,665.10 per ounce

  • Spot gold hit a record high of $2,665.10 an ounce on Wednesday, while U.S. gold futures also rose 0.2% to $2,682.60 an ounce.

 

  • The dollar fell 0.2%, making bullion denominated in the greenback less expensive for holders of other currencies.

 

  • As for other precious metals, silver settled at $32.11 per ounce, platinum rose 0.4% to $989.60 per ounce, and palladium lost 0.2% to $1054.75 per ounce.
