The Cabinet approved the terms and specifications for the offering.

 

The Cabinet, in its meeting today, chaired by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, approved the procedures for re-tendering two licenses for projects to produce iron and steel products (seamless steel pipes, rolling only), in a limited auction among specialized local companies, in accordance with the provisions of Cabinet Resolution No. 47 of 2020 regarding the rules, controls, and procedures for issuing licenses for heavy industries and others to investors, and its amendments.

 

The Council also approved the terms and specifications booklet for the offering, which includes the general and special requirements, qualification documents, the license’s production capacity, the price of the booklet, and the value of the temporary insurance.

 

The Cabinet also reviewed the results of the work of the committee formed by a decision of the Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, to inspect industrial facilities operating in the field of heavy industries that have submitted applications to regularize their status, in accordance with the provisions of Cabinet Resolution No. 47 of 2020 regarding the rules, controls, and procedures for issuing licenses for heavy industries and others to investors, as amended by Resolution No. 47 of 2024.

 

The Council also reviewed the measures to be taken with a number of establishments that produce (billets - reinforcing steel) in violation of the law.
