Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held a meeting with officials from the Egypt Real Estate Platform to follow up on the latest developments regarding the platform's preparations to launch the ministry's housing projects, as well as the status of the implementation of the Egyptian real estate export platform and the unified national number system for real estate. The meeting was attended by officials from the ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority.
Al-Sherbiny said that the Egypt Real Estate Platform represents a pivotal step in the Ministry of Housing's efforts to achieve the Egyptian state's vision for digital transformation and provide advanced electronic services to citizens and investors alike, enhancing the efficiency of the real estate marketing system. He announced that units of the second phase of the largest housing offering prepared by the ministry will be offered in early October, which includes approximately 400,000 housing units, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership. The offering will be through the "Egypt Real Estate Platform."
He added that work is also underway to register, market, and export Egyptian real estate, in implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to consider new solutions and build on them to attract and encourage investment. He noted that exporting real estate requires a set of executive procedures, which the Ministry of Housing is working on by developing an integrated strategy to market Egyptian real estate abroad, identifying target markets, and listing the supply of units, classifying them, and placing them on a unified electronic system.
During the meeting, El-Sherbiny reviewed the current status of the units offered on the platform, the announcement steps for the new offering, and the steps citizens need to take to complete the reservation process. He also reviewed the latest developments and measures taken regarding the unified national real estate identification system to achieve the objectives of this important initiative.
The meeting also addressed the current situation and measures being implemented regarding the establishment of a platform for Egyptian real estate exports. The initial structure and capabilities of the platform were reviewed, with emphasis on the availability of a robust infrastructure and support for multiple languages, currencies, and transfers.
The Egypt Real Estate Platform is a specialized platform that aims to provide an accurate and instantly updated database of real estate properties offered in the Egyptian market. It also offers integrated electronic services that facilitate access to reliable real estate information, contribute to improving the quality of real estate transactions within the local market, and connect Egypt to global markets.
