The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources meets with the company's first vice president.

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi met in New Alamein City with Greg McDaniel, Senior Vice President of International Assets at Apache Corporation, and Moataz Atef, Chairman of Khalda Petroleum, the joint venture between the petroleum sector and Apache.

 

Badawi stressed the importance of continuing the strategic partnership between the Egyptian petroleum sector and Apache through Khalda, and making the most of available investment opportunities.

 

For his part, Greg McDaniel stated that Khalda's increased production, given Egypt's attractive investment environment, represents a distinct success story that opens new horizons for exploring greater gas and oil resources and potential in the Western Desert. He emphasized the company's aspiration to continue growing and expanding in Egypt into new operating areas and implementing its future plans.

 

For his part, Moataz Atef, Chairman of Khalda Petroleum Company, discussed the continued expansion of Apache's investments, stressing the need for full coordination to ensure the rapid implementation of these plans and the achievement of their objectives.
