
The Central Bank of Egypt revealed that the volume of local liquidity in the banking sector increased to record 13.622 trillion pounds at the end of last September, compared to 13.388 trillion pounds at the end of the previous August.
The money supply recorded 3.637 trillion pounds, compared to 3.525 trillion pounds, according to a recent report issued by the Central Bank.
Cash in circulation outside the banking system reached 1.418 trillion pounds at the end of September 2025, compared to 1.398 trillion pounds at the end of August 2025. Demand deposits in local currency at banks amounted to 2.219 trillion pounds, compared to 2.127 trillion pounds.
