Minister of Public Business Sector Mohamed Sheimy met with Hisham Talaat Moustafa, CEO and Managing Director of Talaat Moustafa Holding Group, and his accompanying delegation, to discuss the latest developments in joint cooperation on a number of hotel projects, within the framework of the state’s direction towards supporting and developing the tourism sector as one of the drivers of economic growth, and enhancing hotel capacities and partnerships with the private sector.

During the meeting, existing cooperation prospects were reviewed, and the implementation status of several major hotel projects that represent a significant addition to the Egyptian tourism sector was discussed. Foremost among these is the project to enhance the capacity of the Mena House Hotel, one of the oldest and most prestigious historical hotels, boasting an exceptional location and a direct view of the Giza Pyramids. The project is being implemented by Legacy Company, a joint venture between EGOTH, a subsidiary of the Holding Company for Tourism and Hotels (affiliated with the Ministry of Public Business Sector), and ICON, a subsidiary of the Talaat Moustafa Group. The aim is to improve the hotel's efficiency and develop its services to meet the highest international standards.

The meeting also addressed the implementation status of the Four Seasons Luxor Hotel project, which is being implemented by Icon Company on the land of Sultana Malak, owned by EGOTH Company, overlooking the Nile River, where the implementation rates and future work plans were reviewed, which enhances the status of Luxor as one of the most important tourist and cultural destinations in the world.

During the meeting, Shimi stressed the Ministry of Public Business Sector’s keenness to support serious investment partnerships, especially with major national entities, in order to contribute to the development of hotel infrastructure, increase capacity, achieve maximum economic returns, and support the state’s plans to revitalize sustainable tourism.
